Training

Our trainer, Erica Freiburger, offers hunter/jumper training and exercise programs for your horse. The goal of training is to build the skills of the horse so they are calm, willing, balanced, and responsive to the aids. Erica is a proponent of the Classical School and trains with the ultimate goal of self carriage. She continues her own riding education with weekly instruction from one of the area's top trainers.

Training programs are individualized for each horse's ability and their owner's goals.  Owners who are actively riding their horses are strongly encouraged to take lessons with Erica on their horse throughout the horse's training so the owner understand the concepts being taught to their horse and can contribute to the training process. Full training schedules are also available.

The Trainer

Erica Freiburger has been training at Daniluk Farm and Stables since 2008. She began riding horses at the age of nine and by the age of twelve had expressed her desire to be a professional equestrian. She spent her junior career gaining valuable experience training youngsters and showing in hunters, jumpers, and equitation at both local and rated competitions. Erica pursued a Psychology degree at Syracuse University and successfully competed in the IHSA with the Syracuse University Equestrian Team. Her recent horse show resume includes multiple championships at Syracuse Chapter PHA competitions and Saratoga Horse Shows, as well as impressive placings at National PHA Finals and HITS Saugerties. Her students have also qualified for and ribboned at Marshall & Sterling Finals and National PHA FInals, and earned Year End placings with the Syracuse Chapter PHA.
