Training
Starting under saddle, exercise riding, and hunter/jumper/equitation training available. All training programs are tailored to the individual horse. The goal of training is to build a foundation of trust that aids the horse in performing for its rider. Horses are encouraged to be calm, willing, and responsive to commands, and are taught to move in a balanced and correct manner. Training programs are individualized for every horse and their owner's goals. Erica currently has horses in training for pursuits from breaking and pleasure riding to hunter competition and driving competition. The Trainer Erica Freiburger has been riding horses for sixteen years and has seven years of teaching experience, as well as six years of experience as a working student. She has shown on the local horse show circuit as well as in rated competitions. Her horse show resume includes the Classic Horse Show Series, Syracuse PHA competitions, and HITS. Erica also competed in the IHSA with the Syracuse University Equestrian Club. Erica’s training philosophy is based in hunters and equitation, with support from dressage and natural horsemanship. She has experience starting horses for work in various disciplines, as well as with horses from different training backgrounds.
